Global Youth Ambassadors selected for Women Deliver Young Leaders Program

Our A World At School campaign revolves around our network of amazing Global Youth Ambassadors, who now number over 500 in 85 different countries. Our GYAs are  a global network of young people campaigning in their schools, communities and countries for action to get every child into school and learning.

Recently, seven of our GYAs were selected for the Young Leaders programme by Women Deliver, an advocacy organisation for girls’ and women’s health, rights and wellbeing. The youth ambassadors were: Vivian Onano, Joannes Paulus Yimbesalu, Hikmat Baba Dua, Diphus Ng’eny, Chiamaka Uzomba, Kelebogile Simula, and Jude Thaddues Njikem.

Women Deliver Young Leaders provides seed funding to 200 young people so they can start projects that help girls in their communities receive access to sexual and reproductive health advice and rights.

Women Deliver said: “We believe that the health and rights of young people deserve priority, and that young people themselves have the potential to be powerful spokespeople on their own needs and agents of change transforming policies, programming and their communities for the better.”
